Stayed in all this weekend-Have to go back to Auburn tomorrow for a drop off of our slider curtain to a friend-Have been trying to find someone to give it to, as it is no use here & don't plan on moving from here in the near furure-Will do a couple more errands while over there-Don't miss the driving in Auburn-
Did a laundry this morning-Will cook pork chops & dressing for dinner-Need some grocery shopping, but that will wait another day-
Our new Super Wal-Mart opens next wenesday-We will be at Doctors in Rochester that day, so will check it out later-Then thursday of next week we get our new Time Warner phone in-Unlimited calling anywhere in the U.S. all the time-Hopethis is not a mistake, but having a bad time with Verizon & can't afford it-We will keep the same phone number-
Okay time for an old man's nap-Love Ya All-Dad/Grampa/Uncle

Went to Sampson Navy Base on saturday to check out the Navy Museum & the side walk brick the girls bought me to be place there-We had an interesting time & checked things out pretty good-Jan took some good pictures, which she put on her Blog-
The next day she found the different ships I was on in WW-2 on the internet & that was interesting for me to see & read about. Brings back a lot of memories-
That was sunday & on monday went to the Golf Tournament that Karl puts on each year to Honor Felicia-Can't believe she would have been 18 this year-He gives a Scholarship each year in her name at South Seneca- Mostly Prison Guards in the tournament & about 200. A nice dinner after at the Golf Club.
Also had a Yard Sale at Kathy's on saturday & got rid of lots of things-I appreciate her having it-So a busy weekend & still trying to Re-Coup

Had some old thoughts tonight & will write about them. I might have written of this before, so forgive me if I have.
Was watching some Real Estate trasactions on T-V & it is hard to believe the price of homes today. My thought was that in about 1950 I built my first home for $6,500. This was just the material, as it took me two years & I did all the work myself & with no power tools. My Dad did help me and advise me along the way. I sold it later for $12,000. Even a house like that today would probably be up in the 80 to 100 thousand range. Of course I was working for about $2,000 a year then.
I drew up the plans for this home & the bank accepted them. Also only a four persent interest rate & I believe a $39 a month payment. I was a pretty good carpenter, but not a good cabinet maker. My Father, God Bless Him taught me a lot about carpentry.
Along with this story is the cottage I built on the lake. I believe it was 1958 & I was given a small old place on the lake that I tore down. Took a while but I built what I felt was a cute small cottage, with a dock and boat hoist. Sold this in 1963 after Phyllis died & was deeply in debt for $6,500. Boy what would that be worth today.
Sure have a lot of memories, both good and bad. Hate to go near the lake today where that was, as that was one of the hardest things I ever was forced to let go of.
Okay that my housing and building story for today-

Had a trying couple of weeks-Ev in the hospital & a pretty sick girl-Lots of running back & forth & lots of phone calls-She is now trying to re-coup-Gets tired very easily-
Finally getting things settled in new home & am very tired myself-It has been a very hectic two months around here-Guess getting old doesn't go well with all going on-
We like our new place-Very bright & comfortable-Miss the extra room & extra bath, but will get use to that-Stores & bank close by which is a plus-Not liking to drive that much anymore & know I shouldn't with my health problems-I try to be very careful-Miss the trips we use to take, but have the memories-
Hoping to go to a class luncheon atWagner's Winery on monday, if things work out-This will be our 64th & not many left, or healthy-Okay everyone out there have a wonderful day & week ahead-

hi Everybody-
Just realized again that almost a month since I have written on my Blog. A very busy and tiring month, as we were moving & getting settled. I am sore and tired, but glad it is over & we like our new apartment. Some flaws, but nothing to serious.
Ev has been kinda sick the past couple days. Not sure what is the matter, but a very bad night last night.
Finally got things pretty well settled this past week, now just finding where we put things. Had to get rid of a lot as a smaller apartment. Everything in this area we need & driving much easier for an old guy.
I think if I figured right this is my 25th lifetime move. This is not counting my travels while in the Navy. This has got to be it, as I feel like I aged 10 years just thru the move.
Okay all for tonight. Will try to get on here more often-

Just realized it has been almost a month since I wrote anything-Have been very busy packing things up for our move to Seneca Falls-Was there yesterday & they think they will have our new place ready by mid July-
Have everything packed that we aren't using & I believe 32 boxes-
Brother David was here today with his family-Hadn't seen Amy in many years and she has a very nice husband & a very cute adopted boy, two years old-Sister Jackie & Nancy from Weedsport came over also-David, Amy & family didn't stay long at all which was sad, as probably will never see Amy & family again in this lifetime-
Got my new Interlaken Historical Magazine today & it has my latest article in it. Have one more I have written & probably will be in the next one.
Kinda wiped out from all the sorting & packing & hope I never have to move again. Going to be a little hard going from three bedroom to two with all are stuff, plus the big oxygen concentrator, but we will make out somehow.
Okay will try to write again sooner. Not sure if we wi;ll keep the same internet service or not, when we move, but will keep in touch with all.

Nothing much-Just talked to brother David- He is in california for a wedding & spending some time at David Jr. new restaurant there on Hollywood Blvd..
Lower back & hip hurting & a few mild seizures in the night, so not doing much today. Have quite a bit sorted & packed already. Did get over to the drugstore for a paper. We get the Post Standard on sunday & the lady across the hall, who passed away always got the Auburn paper, then we would swap.
Going to watch my favorite baseball team at in a few minutes. The Yankee's of course. Yesterday was a busy day in Auburn, with Sarah Palin & family here fo founders day celebration. Never cared to much for her speeches, so didn't go near downtown.
65 years ago yesterday my brother-in law Gordon, Phyl's brother was killed in D-Day invasion. a very sad time for that family. He was a Lieutenant in the Army & if I remember right 27 years old.
